"McConnell
is ingratiating – girlish, playful, naïve and innocent – and her
singing in character (with an accent, that is) a delight."
Orange County Register
"... the
shattering climax had a lot to do with the electrifying
performance of Maegan McConnell, whose angelic voice captures
the joy and tragedy experienced by heroine Maria. There isn't a
false note in singing or acting in McConnell's consummate
portrayal."
Backstage West
"The main women in
the cast are the standouts, notably the operatically trained
Meagan McConnell as Maria. "

"Maegan
McConnell's Maria, who charms thoroughly in her vocals and
handles the transition from the guileless, giddy ingenue of
act one to the young woman who has been forced to grow up
all too suddenly through the tragedies of losing both her
lover and her brother."

"When
opera-trained, almond-skinned Maegan McConnell walked into a
Los Angeles audition for the part, "We found our Maria.
Maegan looked great and sang beautifully."
"Maegan
McConnell (Maria) has an exquisite soprano and powerful
acting chops."
